Ohio Nursing CE Requirements

Renewal Cycle: 2 yrs
Each registered nurse (RN) in Ohio must complete twenty-four (24) contact hours of continuing education during each licensure period. At least one (1) of the required contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules (Category A). At least one (1) of the required contact hours must be related to human trafficking. The RN licensure period is two (2) years through October 31 of the following odd-numbered year.
To be licensed by endorsement, an RN must complete one (1) contact hour of continuing education directly related to Chapter 4723, ORC and the rules of the Board (Category A).
